Land and Sea Port

In this section we will talk about the following questions that are asked by our brothers and sisters.

1) Khalistan will be a weak country due to small area and population.

2) There is no sea port.

3) Khalistan will be stuck between nuclear power countries Pakistan and India. So there will be no protection.

Now let's look at these questions one by one and see if they hold any ground.

1) Khalistan will be a weak country due to small area and population.

A free country does not mean that it has to be very powerful and must have a large population. A small country with small population can be as much powerful as a large country with large population. Pope has few acres of land and population of couple hundred but he has independent relations with all other independent countries. What makes a country powerful is its laws, policies, people’s moral character, and love and willingness to die for their country. History shows that India with population of millions of Hindus was ruled by few thousands Muslims for over seven hundred years. Hindus have been ruled by foreigners for over thousand years. Not only that, the value of their lives was even less than that of an animal. Only few hundred Sikhs fought against these oppressors and injustices and freed the country by going through two great holocausts. There was a time when Sikh population was decreased down to only two thousand, but it was their faith in Guru Ji, high moral character, power of the truth, and strong determination that turned them into a victorious community. They freed the land that was under foreign attack for over two thousand years. Sikhs hosted Kesri Nishaan Sahib from Afghanistan to Tibet and from Kashmir to Delhi. They did not beg anyone for any help. Rather they chose to live in jungles with nothing to eat for weeks and even months.

British people have such a small country but they have ruled the whole world. Jews have created their own country called Israel consisting only five million people. Less than half the area of current Punjab is more powerful than some/most Arabic countries that have much more population. A very small country like Japan that lost severely in World War II with much less population is now a very powerful country in business and technology. Germany being a small country is economically in better shape than China, Russia and India. South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong are very small in area but have economically made much progress than other large countries. Switzerland has smaller area compared to Punjab but it is a powerful and a rich country.

Of course, large countries have more market in business, but today’s world technology is playing the major role in transportation of goods. This is becoming cheaper and hence benefits the smaller countries more. Look at Singapore for example; this country has neither agriculture land to produce food nor any fresh water for its own people. But, this country is more advanced in technology than any other country. It’s GDP (Gross Domestic Product) increased by 11% in one year. And, Malaysia has become the third fastest growing economy in the world. These examples clearly show that the argument raised by anti-Khalistani people is baseless. In today’s world there are about 239 independent islands and countries and 102 of those have smaller area than Punjab. If these more than hundred countries can survive and enjoy the freedom then why can’t Sikhs enjoy freedom in Punjab? Below I am providing you with names of some known countries and their areas.

The above numbers show that there are many countries that are smaller than Punjab; they still exist and continue to survive.

Now let’s take a look at the population. It has been said before that there are 239 independent islands and countries in the world and 190 of those have less population than Punjab. 96 countries have population of less than six million and 87 out of 95 have population less than 5 million. 58 countries have about 2.5 million people. 35 countries are even less than five hundred thousand people. These countries are not only free but are also surviving and improving in all areas of economy. Out of all the countries that have more than 100 million people, only USA is in good shape. Netherlands with 15.8 million people is in lot better condition than India. Bangladesh with 140 million people and Nigeria with129 million people are worse than 4 million of Puerto Rico.

Take a look at some countries that have less population than Punjab.

This proves without a doubt that Punjab can exist as a free country with small area and population.

Above all, there’s nothing like being independent. An independent country, small or large, at least will belong to Sikhs. It is a known fact and history tells us that Sikhs have managed to survive in extreme conditions in the past and will survive in future. The above examples provide evidence that many smaller and less powerful countries continue to survive.

2) There is no sea port.

Not having a sea port is a disadvantage but in today’s world nothing can stop a country from growing in business and becoming rich. All needs can be fulfilled by other means. There are many countries in the world that have no sea ports. These countries have been surviving so far. Afghanistan has been surviving for many centuries. Nepal fits in the same category.

Countries that have no sea ports can import and export the goods with the help of their neighboring countries. Khalistan will do this business with both Pakistan and India. Any of these countries that benefit and deals better in business with Khalistan will be used. Following countries do not have sea ports and they are surviving.

There are many more countries small and less powerful yet they are surviving. Also, there are many countries that have sea ports but are categorized as third world countries such as India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka etc. Sikhs are hard working people. Wherever they went, they did not beg anyone for anything. They worked hard and became professionals in all areas of the fields whether it is engineering, sports or anything else. Without a doubt Khalistan will survive on the shoulders of hard working Sikhs.

3) Khalistan will be stuck in nuclear power countries Pakistan and India. So there will be no protection.

It is such a funny thing to hear that Khalistan’s military power will be weak and would not be able to protect the country. Protection of a country depends more on self-confidence and willingness to die for your own country more than having more people in the army or having more weapons. There is no doubt that weaponry and number of people in the army play an important role but in the last it boils down to who is strong minded and who is willing to die. Only more people and weapons do not make a country the winner. Victory is decided based on bravery and confidence. Neither weapons fight nor bodies. What fights is your strong mind and confidence.

Weapons do not give birth to bravery. Bravery gives birth to willingness of having better weapons. A person who is not brave and strong minded won’t even touch a gun let alone fighting in the battlefield. Brave people find ways to get weapons and protection. One who is brave is victorious. We have numerous examples before us. Forty Sikhs fought one million Mughal troops during the time of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Thirty five Sikhs fought two thousand Muslims when Bhai Tara Singh Ji became martyr. Baba Deep Singh Ji with 5000 Sikhs fought ten thousand Afghanis when Ahmad Shah Abdali attacked Darbar Sahib. Two hundred fifty Sikhs fought thousands of Indian troops in 1984 and the battle lasted only six days. Tibetian Army men specifically trained by the CIA gave up their fight against Sikhs on the first day. Sikhs have always been in less numbers but this never discouraged them from fighting.

Gurbachan Singh Manochahal with few Sikhs fought 5,000 Indian policemen and managed to escape. Gursikhs like Bhai Rashpal Singh Ji Shandra, Bhai Avtar Singh Ji Brahma, Bhai Gurdev Singh Ji Debu, Bhai Gurjant Singh Ji, Bhai Labh Singh Ji, and numerous warriors of Babbar Khalsa openly challenged Indian troops to come out to fight them. Equipped with better weapons and more in numbers the Indian troops picked up their stuff and left. They wouldn’t even come to the same area for weeks. Is this bravery? Sikhs were very few in numbers but showed the courage to fight and their determination to win the battle of Khalistan. If Sikhs equipped with less and old weaponry could fight with so much bravery then a country, Khalistan, would only strengthen their power not weaken it. Sikhs are instructed to keep arms and therefore every effort will be made to have modern weapons for the purpose of protection and keeping peace.

Take Nepal for example. This country is independent and surviving even though it is stuck right between India and China and both have nuclear weapons. Afghanistan has been independent for centuries. When Russia invaded Afghanistan, Afghanis fought with bravery that Russian troops lost. Russia was a big and powerful country but we all know who won and who lost. Israel is a small country compared to Arab countries. Arab countries have better weapons and more troops but they are afraid of Israeli army. Israel is still independent. Sikhs are not less brave than anybody else. If you doubt bravery of the Sikhs then go ask British and Pakistani armies. Many historians have written on the bravery of Sikhs. Read what a non-Sikh historian says about Sikhs.

“The pages of history shine with the heroic deeds of this martial race, and the examples of self devotion, patriotism and forbearance, under the servant trials, displayed the leaders of their community, are excelled by non in the annals of the nations.” (Latif, Syed Mohammad: History of the Punjab, P.629)

If 102 countries smaller than Punjab can preserve their separate identity and have independence then why can’t Sikhs? If 190 countries with less population than Punjab can have independent territories then why can’t Sikhs of Punjab run Khalistan? If Nepal, Afghanistan, Israel and Switzerland can survive without sea ports then so can brave Sikhs. Sikhism is full of brave Sikhs like Sukhdev Singh Sukha and Harjinder Singh Jinda who were never afraid of death and some senseless people are assuming that brave Sikhs of Punjab won’t be able to run Punjab.

Khalistan will be a neutral country between India and Pakistan. Khalistan will have good relations with both countries. It will be like a steel wall between both countries and both countries would feel safer. Khalistan is the only solution to stop the ongoing war. Sikhs believe in equality and never oppress other people. Sikhs never try to take over forcibly. Sikh Gurdwaras are in Pakistan and in India. Khalistan will do business with India and Pakistan. Khalistan will import and export through both countries. So having friendship with neighbor countries is the best choice.

On 29 January, 1986 Khalsa Panth declared the independent Khalistan. It was based on the saying Sant Jarnail Singh Ji “The day Indian government attacks Darbar Sahib, foundation of Khalistan will be laid.” Since that day Sikhs are determined to free Khalistan. Sikhs want to make “Raj Karega Khalsa” a reality. Sacrifices of Sikhs will always be inspiring other Sikhs to free Khalistan from the rule of corrupt Indian government. Indian government can try its best to appoint corrupt leaders like Badal and Tohra but declaration of Khalistan has shaken the roots of India. Neither the corrupt Indian leaders nor their servants are accepted in Khalistan. Sikhs will free Khalistan just like they freed Punjab from Muslims and the British. Whoever stood in the way of Sikhs was destroyed. Sikhs are determined to gain independence and they will. Sacrifices of Sikhs for Punjab shall bring good outcomes and Sikhs will enjoy the freedom.
