More Facts and End of Cats
Indian
government had hired many Black Cats for the sole purpose of infiltrating the
Sikh movement which led to arrests and death of thousands of Sikh freedom
fighters. Besides the Black Cats there were many other Cats whose jobs were to
stay within the freedom groups, obtain higher ranking positions and then bring
the whole group down by committing immoral acts such as killing innocent people
and dishonoring women. After the decline of the Sikh movement, the security
forces started to eliminate Cats groups one by one for the reason of keeping its
activities secret from the public. Even then, many of the Cats were exposed and
their misdeeds have been published in the newspapers which informed the public
about the infiltration and the real criminals.
When a Cat
would become the leader of a group he would start recruiting many of the
criminals and other young people who only wanted to loot the public at gun point
and had no compassion for the movement. Although it is impossible to know the
depths of infiltration by the Cats but it is known that these Cats were even
present in the group of Baba Gurbachan Singh Manochahal who was not only one of
the smartest and far-thinker leader but also a role model to many Sikhs. Baba
Gurbachan Singh always took precautions with enlisting new members into his
group. When someone would make a mistake in his group he would punish the
guilty. According to the people of Taran Taaran, the police was successful in
infiltrating his group and some Cats from his group are known to have committed
crimes against the public.
The name
of Gallan Khduriya is well known to the public. According to the locals Gallan
once wrongly accused a young woman of misbehavior and killed her by dragging her
behind a tractor. When Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji found out about this incident he
ordered everyone in his group to kill Gallan wherever found. The locals also
state that Gallan was protected by the Indian security forces. In 1992, the
police were raiding more than 57 places in a day to capture Baba Gurbachan
Singh, and arresting most of his relatives who were taken to police stations for
torture. Gallan was seen by them bad mouthing Baba Ji and enjoying the guest
house and protection of the police. There is no doubt that he had always been a
police Cat. This is only one example which proves that such Cats were present in
the movement in large numbers who helped the police and the government to bring
the Sikh movement down by eliminating many of the famous Sikh fighters. It is
also believed by the people of Majha area (Gurdaspur, Amritsar and Taran Taaran)
that many of the Cats who were free to loot, murder, rape and had served their
purpose were later on killed by the police.
In 1992, a
group of five Cats in disguise of Sikh fighters picked up a young girl of
village Khara and raped her. Two Cats were from village Manochahal, one from
village Khara and two were constables. By this time the Sikh movement had
greatly declined and was despised by the public. The family of the victim
reported this to S.P. Khoobi Raam. Khoobi Raam had previously made a statement
that all of the Sikh fighters had been eliminated from his area. So he
restricted all of his Cats from committing criminal activities in his area and
yelled at the Cats in front the family members by saying, “There are no
terrorists in this area now. Then why are such activities being carried out
under their names.” Then he asked the victim girl about the looks of the
criminals and soon he captured all of the Cats who were later identified by the
girl.
To keep
its reputation in the eyes of the public the police killed three Cats and saved
the other two because they were serving in the police. After this incident the
police started to kill many Cats because there was no need of them anymore and
they had become so vicious in their criminal activities that becoming civil
human beings was impossible for them. It is also believed by many that such Cats
were sent off to live aboard for the purpose of hiding them from the public and
bringing them back in case the movement started again. It is not known how many
Cats the police killed but most of them were labeled as “Sikh freedom fighters”
after their deaths. It is the need of time for the Sikh community to
differentiate between the true Sikh fighters and the Cats whose deaths were
associated with the Sikh movement. The Cats were free to loot, kill and rape the
Sikh masses and enjoyed the wealth given to them by the Indian government. It is
estimated that many hundred women were being dishonored in the Punjab police
stations everyday. Majority of the people in Punjab do not reveal their stories
to save themselves from shame and have kept these stories in their hearts.
Although we cannot feel the same pain these people experienced when they
witnessed torture and rape of their women in the police stations but it is our
responsibility to bring these stories out to the public so the world can know
the true brutality of the Indian government and genocide of the Sikh community.
Only then the world will know that it is the Indian government and its officials
that are real terrorists not the Sikh freedom fighters who fought for their
honor and dignity.
